Hope in bleak times.
In a world of constant chaos and distruption, there seem to be an absence of light at the end of the tunnel. It looks like there is darkness looming around and you cry and wet your pillow all night, staying awake and thinking of what will be the way out. It seems like nothing is moving anymore and you become hopeless and despondent.
But somehow, a quick notice comes your way saying "there is hope".
When it seems dark and dreary, always remember there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Our Lord Jesus said "come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and i will give you rest". Cast your cares on him for he cares for you.
Keeping hope alive in the midst of tumoil is very necessary. Most times its not easy, but you just have to because it enables you sail afloat the stormy sea.
Your hope alive makes you unmovable by the circumstance at hand or what you're seeing. The doctor's report makes no sense to you because your hope curve on the graph of life is on the high side.
When life gives you lemon, you make lemonade from it because of the presence of hope. In bleak times of life, you're not paranoid. You're stable and not confused. You have peace of mind because the master has spoken"peace be still". He gives us assurance that he will be with us till the end of time. That's a lifetime promise to hold on to.
Your life cannot come to a halt Because you Know who holds tomorrow. You are a divine project, a script the creator is writing that can never be abandoned.
Therefore cut yourself some slacks and switch your mind to a relax mode and watch the saviour paddle the affairs of your life. The stormy sea cannot swallow you.
Holding on is all you've got to do. There is light down there at the end of the tunnel. This light can only be seen when you wear the shoes of hope.
Nothing remains permanent. What you are passing through will phase out in no distant time.
So, don't give up yet, because its not over. Its only over when you give up. Hold unto the Lord and trouble not your heart. Even when you fail, its not over.
NB: Bleak: not clear.
