PAIN AND OUR MISTAKE

 

Pain is an emotional feeling that comes from a displeasing situation. Most times, It can come when we are unaware and it can come when we intentionally bring it upon ourselves.

There are certain factors that can bring pain upon us. These factors when set in motion bring about displeasure.

As humans, we are imperfect and this is why we make mistakes. Mistakes are actions we take unintentionally. They are not  things we planned for. And one thing about it is that every mistake comes with it's pain and consequences. Although some are grievous, while some are mild.
But we will be looking at the pain that comes from our mistakes.

Most times, the mistake people make are actions they took out of the hardness of their heart.  They receive warnings and when they don't heed, they hit the rock and face the consequence.
Although some mistakes occur out of ignorance, some largely ensue from a hardened heart.

The pain that come from a mistake can be very heart wrenching especially when you never saw it coming.
Example a teenage girl who has been instructed on the dangers of premarital sex, yet goes out to explore her sexual desires, gets pregnant from it and comes home with shame, pain and regret. Now the consequence of such action is the pregnancy that will come as an after effect.

However, Certain pain can be avoided. If this teen had listened to warnings, she wouldn't have been put in the family way.

Some mistake come from our carelessness. They come when we feel we know it all and fail to heed to the instructions of those who have gone ahead of us.

Most times, people especially the young ones tend to feel like they know it all and the elders are old school. Whenever these older chaps bring words of advice to them, they just trash it and feel they are the new generation and are on top of the world. There is an adage that says "what an elder sees sitting, a young man cannot see standing".

This is why so many has foolishly fallen prey for those things they've been warned against.
When this has taken place, there are consequences attached to this, followed by the pain associated with it. This by no reason anyone's fault.

But the good thing here is, when you come to God, in total surrender, He picks you up, cleanse you with His blood and make you a new creature. He puts your past far from Him.
Now when this has been done, God expects that you learn a lesson from the mistake you've had. This is because from the lessons you've learnt, you can teach those who are coming behind you. This time, you will teach from the perspective of experience.
There is one thing about experience, it gives a better chance to talk from the bowels of your heart. Experience enables you connect more and better with your target audience.

Your scar becomes your message. The lessons learnt becomes what you'll use to teach others. Your scar gives you a platform. It gives you your value. Our mistakes create a sense of purpose because you begin to cultivate on the "Father's Farmland" bringing those who are in your past to God. Through it you begin to give meaning to the life of others.

Even in our self inflicted mistake, God still turn our mess into a message.  It doesn't matter how far you've gone, it doesn't matter how grievous your mistake or past is, Jesus can turn your mistake into a Powerful message for your generation. He is a specialty in turning bitter water (Mara) into a sweet one.

Yes you brought the pain on yourself through the mistake you made, but God can still use you despite  the dirt on you. The dust on you can be turned to gold. Don't wallow in regret, come out and Jesus will make you a voice to your generation.
You are not your mistake.
You are not your past .
You are made for more.
